Guru Restaurant Group ApS – Terms & Conditions

Reservation & Cancellation Policy

All reservations confirmed, are made upon and are subject to the following Terms & Conditions and no variation thereof will be accepted unless agreed in writing.

in these Terms & Conditions ‘Guru’ means Guru Restaurant Group ApS, and the “Client” means the person, firm or company booking event space.

Guru restaurant relies on reservations being honoured by our guests, or adequate notice given of any changes. Accordingly by reserving a table and intending to dine the following conditions apply:

  1. Guru reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee for reservations which are
  1. Cancelled,
  2. Numbers reduced both with less than 72 hours’ notice from time of dining
  3. No Showing or failing to show for a dining room reservation in the following  circumstances:

1.1. Friday evening,

1.2. Saturday evening

1.3. Public Holidays Lunch and Dinner

1.4. Group (a reservation of 18 people or above), party, special events, or any other bookings

1.5. All internet reservations

1.6.  Management reserves the right to request credit card details or cash deposit for any reservation.

  1. For bookings mentioned in point 1. a) & b) above, a cancellation fee of DKK 500 per person will be charged.
  1. For bookings that “No Show” as mentioned in 1. c) the booking will incur a fee of DKK 750 per person.
  2. In the case of special event bookings, exclusive use (including but not limited to functions, group bookings, Wine Dinners, New Years Eve, Valentine’s Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Christmas and New Year week events), the cancellation fee will be 100% of the per person price.
  1. Upon your booking a cash deposit or credit card details will be required to guarantee your booking. A member of the Guru team will call to explain the cancellation policy and note your cash deposit or credit card details to be used to charge in the event of a cancellation or no show.
  2. We will notify you of any cancellation or no show fee charged.

Applicable for all parties, group bookings, events, and exclusive use.

7. Confirmation & deposit

a written confirmation and a non-refundable deposit of 100% of the agreed minimum spend will be required from the Client to guarantee a booking. the deposit can be paid by bank transfer (made payable to Guru Restaurant Group ApS) , or credit card details as a guarantee of the booking.

8. Cancellation

once a booking has been confirmed in writing, if it is cancelled the deposit will be retained

9. Numbers

Confirmation of numbers for an event is required 72 hours prior to the date of the function excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays). the Client will be charged on the basis of the confirmed number of guests. if confirmation is not given, the Client will be charged for the number of guests stated in the most recent correspondence.

10. Menus & Wine list

Set menus only are available for all events, to be agreed and confirmed a minimum of 14 days prior. All of the menus are based on seasonal availability. the wine list is subject to price and vintage changes throughout the year. Guru  does not allow food within the venue from external supplies.

11. Minimum spend

there is a minimum spend required for any booking above 18 guests or for any exclusive area within Guru restaurants, this is on food & beverage and doesn’t include additional hire or flowers.

12. Capacity

All exclusive areas within Guru have a maximum capacity for guests standing or seated which are specified in your original provisional email enquiry.

13. Timings

exclusive hire for lunch is between 12-16 pm & dinner 17-23 pm, with access to contact one hour prior, earlier access may be possible but this could incur an additional cost.

14. Flowers

Flowers are not provided for events but can be arranged at an additional charge.

15. Cakes

other than cakes, only food produced by Guru is permitted for consumption on the premises.

16. Equipment

any electronic equipment that is brought into the building must be pat certified (portable appliance tested).

17. Music

Guru would supply background music. the Client may wish to arrange a DJ or any amplified Music however Guru must be made aware in advance.

18. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Guru, payment for an event must be made in full at the end of the function. All major credit cards are accepted.

19. Value added Tax

value added tax at the current rate is included in all prices.

20. Guru Premises

Guru will charge for any items belonging to the restaurant that are damaged or removed from the premises. Guru will dispose of any equipment that is left for more than 48 hours after the event without prior agreement. For legal, health & safety reasons staff are not permitted to carry heavy items on behalf of customers.
